The World’s Largest Transfer of Orthopedic Knowledge: The Grand Rounds Series
To ensure our educational components are consistent with the needs of our beneficiaries, we have developed a comprehensive orthopedic surgical curriculum reflecting the caseload specific to Haiti. In our weekly Grand Rounds series we record lectures given by world-class experts in various areas of orthopedics. These lectures are then translated to French, archived, and transmitted to multiple State Hospitals in Haiti. This cohesive curriculum helps to unify the orthopedic community and break down silos of individual state hospital training programs. We have further aided the accessibility of this material by setting up supportive infrastructure including monitors and Wi-Fi capability
We have also taken great efforts to maximize our impact by working collaboratively on multiple levels. We have partnered with the Federation of Trauma on our remote learning implementation while cultivating reciprocal partnerships with local educators and providers improving the depth of our impact on a local level.
